We are excited to organize the 2^nd Annual ABFER-JFDS Conference on AI and FinTech on 8-9 August, 2024. The conference is co-organized by the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance (Tsinghua PBCSF), and the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in collaboration with the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research (ABFER), and the Journal of Finance and Data Science (JFDS).
 
This two-day event will focus on AI applications in finance and related industries. It will bring together academics, industry experts, and regulators to explore the latest developments, opportunities, and challenges related to investing in the era of AI, particularly in Asia but not limited to just Asia.
 
The conference will take place on Aug 8-9 at SUSTech in Shenzhen, China. Anyone interested in learning about the evolving and progressing intersection of AI and investment is welcome to attend.
 
In addition to the paper presentation and discussion, there will be an industry and policy panel on AI and FinTech in Capital Market Research at the conference.
 
The Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research will include the accepted program papers in its working paper series. The panel discussion at the conference, as well as a newsletter about the conference, will be published in the 2024 issue of JFDS.

In addition, the JFDS will sponsor one Best Paper Award and one Best Discussant Award, $1,000 each award.
