ABFER Researcher Award
Nomination
ABFER aims to draw the attention of academics, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide to profound and relevant research scholarship in Asia. To this end, ABFER is setting up a prestigious ABFER Researcher Award.
This Award will be conferred biennially to a scholar who has developed an outstanding body of theoretical and/or empirical Asia-related research, making high-impact contributions in one or more of the disciplines included in ABFER's research tracks. If there is a significant body of joint work, the Award may be conferred jointly to two recipients. The recipient(s) should be 45 years old and below, by 31 May of the conferment year. The recipient(s) should hold a full-time or a meaningful part-time appointment in an Asian institute in the conferment year. The Award is open to all nationalities.
The Award comes with a cash prize of S$20,000 (subjected to tax). The recipient has to make a keynote speech at the Welcome Dinner of ABFER Annual Conference, the year after the Award is conferred. The Committee will decide and announce the conferment of the Award by end February.
Please submit your nomination by completing the form below. Nomination ends on 31 January 2026. The committee will contact you if additional information is required or when the nominee is selected.
