2020 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented unprecedented challenges in keeping everyone safe and healthy, while huge financial and economic costs are incurred with movement control orders, economic sector shutdowns, and nationwide lockdowns. The world is eager to learn about how economies respond to the pandemic. The ABFER would like to keep our stakeholders informed on relevant research and commentary by our community, especially on the Asia-Pacific experience.

Pandemic Commentaries

The experiences with COVID-19 in Asia precede that in the West. Further, as many Asian countries have painfully experienced the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) epidemic in 2003, learnings can be drawn from Asia’s experiences to benefit the world. ABFER’s community has taken up the call to deliver insights to inform the public. The Pandemic Commentaries feature contemporary research and thoughts on this critically important issue.
